Ameren

Reitz & Jens was retained to provide design and construction documents for the modification of two existing levees to address erosion, stability, and seepage concerns. The levees protect a substation and adjacent switching station in the regulatory 100-year floodplain of the Mississippi River in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. The solutions included designing levee embankment modifications, floodwall, closure structures, gravity drains and pump discharge piping. Reitz & Jens also provided Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) services during the construction phases of both projects.
