Quality-First Construction Engineering

No one likes surprises on a construction site, including us. That’s why we work in partnership with our clients and other members of the construction team, providing the detailed information you need to make timely, informed decisions every step of the way. We believe this is the single best way to minimize construction costs, improve project quality and reduce life cycle costs.

Practical & Objective Problem-Solving

Constructing any project is usually complex and can be contentious. The questions and needs change as the project moves from one stage to the next. This is especially true with subsurface construction where unknown conditions can crop up at any time. At the onset, all you may need is an objective opinion about expected construction costs. Later, you may wonder what value engineering (VE) alternatives are available, or you might want an experienced resource to help you address problems as they arise in the field. In all cases, you want to make sure you get the quality project you paid for.

With Reitz & Jens on your construction team, you can be assured that subsurface conditions are being addressed. You can also be assured that, should unforeseen conditions arise, you have an expert on your team that has a long history of solving these types of construction problems with solutions that are practical, cost effective and timely.

Exceptional Quality Assurance & Control

To provide exceptional quality assurance and quality control, we maintain a staff of full-time Field Technicians who are experienced with the requirements and nuances of inspecting and testing all geotechnical components of the construction site.

Each Technician is outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment capable of testing all types of subsurface construction in accordance with ASTM, AASHTO, ACI and USACE requirements. Using their experience, these technicians provide more than simple quality control. They are frequently called on by the foundation and grading contractors as advisors when unusual or difficult site conditions are encountered.
