Reitz & Jens is seeking a Geotechnical Technician with 0 to 5 years of experience in engineering and construction. The position will include both field and laboratory responsibilities working closely with professional and technical staff as well as construction personnel.
The position requires strong analytical, critical thinking, math and communications skills, as well as the ability to effectively interact with clients and staff at all levels, and regularly lift and move heavy loads. Working in a field and laboratory environment will be required as part of the daily responsibilities. Potential applicants should have an associate degree in geology or civil engineering, or have completed courses in construction technology and quality control. NICET, ACI, and nuclear densometer certifications, or the ability to obtain these certifications within 6 months of employment, is required. Applicants must also be proficient in Microsoft Office, and be a U.S. citizen or have a permanent work visa. Prior experience is preferred but not required.
