Water Resources Engineer

The ideal candidate will have a Masters, or be working towards their Masters, in Water Resources Engineering (hydrology & hydraulics), and have at least 5 years experience in the engineering industry.  A Professional Engineering license in Missouri and/or Illinois, or the ability to obtain these licenses within the next year is required. 

 

Duties will include stormwater and floodplain planning, modeling and design at the Assistant Project Engineer, Project Engineer or Project Manager level.  Experience, or willingness to be trained, in natural stream and wetlands stabilization and restoration, and AutoCAD is desirable.  Modeling experience with hydrology and hydraulics software systems (HEC, XP-SWMM, etc.) is also necessary.  Our mix of unique and challenging projects can require watershed modeling; evaluation, planning, and design of urban and rural drainage projects; dam and flood control projects; and stream biostabilization and wetland projects throughout the Midwest.  Clients are primarily governmental and institutional agencies with some private entities.  Some overnight travel is required.
